CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This is a mixed-level class where students are appropriately challenged depending on experience with Aerial Arts. This class is meant to be repeated for Beginner and Intermediate-level dancers. We explore ways to move in and out of poses, sequence skills and find ones own creative expression with the aerial apparatus (Silks).
We work on Foundational/essential skills, climbs, and progressions. Students will leave the class with a new set of skills, poses, beginner/intermediate sequences, embodied knowledge from ground to air, and an understanding of how to create sequences/dance with aerial silks and slings. A fun and empowering experience for all!
What to wear & bring: Please wear clothing that allows your body to move freely. Aerial friendly clothing: no zippers, watches, & jewelry. Backs of the knees, waist, and armpits should be covered to avoid burns. Please bring a water bottle and a healthy snack to each class. It’s hard work!.
