Prerequisites/Dancer Requirements:
-12 yrs or older (or turning 12yrs)
-minimum of 1 yr aerial dance experience at Wild Hare Dance
-Dancers must be currently enrolled in a class at WHD
-desire to create
-Schedule weekly meeting w/ Sasha (about 10-11 per session)

Aerial Arts Mentorship/ Dance Arts Independent Study:
Aerial Dance Mentorship is a facilitated independent study. An opportunity for students, who show readiness to develop their dance artistry and work with their personal interests.
This is a program for the developing artist who wishes to deepen their artistic practice with dance. It includes individualized attention, supervised independent study based on the students’ interest, student composition/ choreography skills, technical development, performance creation and support in developing ones artistic voice. Dancers have opportunity to share their work in the spring student showcase if they choose. Obviously, performance is always a choice. While students do focus on 1 primary apparatus for the session, the mentorship can include exploring other aerial apparatuses (Sling, Lyra, Rope, Silks).
An opportunity for the older students, who show readiness to develop their dance artistry and work specifically with their personal interests within aerial arts and/or the field of dance. This is a one on one mentorship program for the young developing artist and athlete – a rites of passage for those who are ready. It includes: training time, supervised independent study based on the students’ interest, student composition/choreography skills, performance creation and support in developing ones artistic voice. Dancers have opportunity to share their work in the Spring student showcase if they choose. Obviously, performance is always a choice.
